Accessing Services
Anyone can refer to OYH-CP when they are worried about a young person experiencing mental health problems. OYH-CP regularly receives referals from schools, doctors, youth support workers, family members, friends and sometimes even the young person themselves.
All new referrals to OYH-CP are managed by Triage/Intake. From here it is decided if OYH-CP will provide a mental health assessment, or if other agencies may be contacted to offer support to the young person.
If a mental health assessment is provided the young person will be given recommendations about how to manage/treat their mental health problems. If eligible, OYH-CP will provide this treatment/care, otherwise referals wil be made to appropriate support services.
