Peer Support
Peer Support workers are young people who have been clients at Orygen Youth Health Clincal Program and now use their experience to help other clients. Peer Support Workers visit clients at the inpatient unit in Footscray to share their wisdom and knowledge whilst providing comfort and support along the way. They also offer a Drop In Service on site in Parkville for all clients to visit where they can access information and resources, or simply hang out for a chat. Peer Support Workers receive comprehensive training and ongoing support, and are also paid for their time.
Drop into the Platform Room (near reception) on a Monday between 12.30pm – 2.30pm For more information or to find out how you can become a Peer Support Worker. Contact Vitty on 9342 2960 or email peersupport@oyh.org.au
